To linguistically express how I feel about my art is difficult, because I live my life visualizing the beauty all around me. Colors and light are my words, and for me; no combination of words can express the feeling I put into my art.
My art is about seeing beyond the details of the surface. I then re-orchestrate the essentials until they represent the feelings I am trying to convey. Whether the subject is a simple tea cup or a wonderful vista, the vehicle I use for this expression is oil paint. Always trying to create images that are bold, direct and simply stated.
I believe art should not represent exactly what you see, but evoke a feeling in the viewer that is ingnited by my efforts. I hope you enjoy viewing my paintings as much as I enjoy creating them.
