William J. Maloney, a professional artist for over 40 years and the retired Art Director of Raytheon Service Company, is now painting full time. He is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Art with a B.F.A. degree in painting. He has studied under nationally-known marine painter Don Stone. Mr. Maloney is currently teaching painting on Cape Cod.
Mr. Maloney’s landscapes, seascapes and city scenes are done in an “en plein air” realistic style with watercolor and oil being his preferred mediums The varied coast of New England is his favorite subject. Of his work Maloney says succinctly, “The Lord blessed me with a talent to paint--I hope to use it wisely and well.”
Maloney is a member of the Copley Society where he is a Copley Master, Cape Cod Art Association, American Artists’ Professional League, New England Watercolor Society, the Oil Painters of America and the Whiskey Painters of America.
