Fran Vigneau - Live Jazz!!

I am an artist, social worker and mother of three. When I paint or draw I use all mediums, depending on the subject matter and my mood. Painting is for me a wonderful way of expression without words. I also enjoy writing poetry and short stories.

I have a Masters degree in social work. I have been doing social work with children and families for many years, and love what I do. I try to incorporate art into treatment whenever possible as it helps in understanding and with promoting change.

In the community I am involved with Freshwater Arts, the Waterville Area Art Society, Up Country artists, Kennebec Valley Art Association, Boothbay Regional Art Foundation, and Maine Arts .

I have been in a number of shows and have received different awards and recognition for my work. My art is in various private collections throughout Maine and other states.

What else is there to know, I was born and raised in Maine. Once upon a time I was in the Peace Corps and lived in Thailand. There I worked as a community developer and would make puzzles, toys and books for the Thai children from cheap, local resources. I also spent many years living and working in Massachusetts doing inner city social work.
